But it was during cosmetology school that they discovered their true calling in hair cutting and styling. This newfound passion allowed them to combine their artistic background with meticulous attention to detail, creating personalized styles that empower their clients to embrace their individuality.
Growing up in Long Beach, NY, Jessie’s love for self-expression began in 5th grade when they tried makeup for the first time—it was a moment of self-discovery that ignited their creative spark. Today, the vibrant energy of NYC fuels them, and the city’s supportive, open-minded individuals inspire them daily.
Jessie’s superpower lies in their empathy. They feel an intuitive ability to connect with people, understanding their emotions and needs before the person speaks even a word. This gift enables them to bring out the best in clients, making them feel confident and radiant.
Outside the salon, Jessie is a soulful pop enthusiast, singer-songwriter, and lover of musical theater and art. Jessie fondly remembers their journey to their birthplace, Cambodia, as enriching and deepening their appreciation for life and self-expression.
